Stacy Parker Aab on THE PEREZ NOTES

I had the opportunity to interview Stacy Parker Aab, the Author of the book Government Girl young and female in the White House. We discussed her time in the Clinton White House, first as an intern for George Stephanopoulos, then as a staffer for Paul Begala. We also had a conversation about what it was like in the White House, during the Monica Lewinsky scandal, and awkward encounters Stacy had with both Vernon Jordan and President Clinton. I was also interested in hearing Stacy's opinion on the differences between the Obama administration and the Clinton administration.

Fernando Aquino on THE PEREZ NOTES

I had the opportunity to interview Consultant Fernando Aquino. We discussed his career as a Journalist writing for a El Listin Diario and El Diario La Prensa. His work for the New York Mets organization. The political development of the Dominican community, and his work on the campaign for State Assembly of Bronx District Leader Hector Ramirez.

Jeremiah Frei-Pearson on THE PEREZ NOTES

I had the opportunity to interview Attorney Jeremiah Frei-Pearson, who is running for New York State Assembly in the 36th district. The seat is currently held by Assemblyman Michael Gianaris. We discussed his reason's for running, and his platform.

Pete Gleason on THE PEREZ NOTES

I had the opportunity to interview Attorney Pete Gleason, who ran for City Council in Manhattan District 1. We discussed his run for City Council, and an article written about him by The Village Voice's Wayne Barrett. Pete is openly challenging Wayne Barrett to a debate, and feels that Wayne's motives for writing the piece were malicious, and wonders what Mr. Barrett's motives were. Mr. Gleason also discussed his letter to Columbia University President Lee Bollinger, asking the President of Columbia to fire Mr. Barrett who is a Professor at Columbia.

Matt Cowherd on THE PEREZ NOTES

I had the opportunity to interview, Attorney Matt Cowherd who is the President and Founder of the New Kings Democrats. We discussed politics in Brooklyn, the New Kings Democrats differences with Kings County Democratic Party Leader Assemblyman Vito Lopez, and the clubs mission statement.

George Albro on THE PEREZ NOTES

I had an opportunity to interview Legal Aid Attorney George Albro who is the NYC Co-Chairman of the Working Families Party, and Secretary Treasurer of the UAW 2325. We discussed the law suit filed in Staten Island by Randy Mastro against the party and Councilmember Debi Rose. The investigation of the WFP by the US attorneys office. The current state of the Working Families Party, and his take on Governor Paterson's budget proposals, and how it affects union households. We also discussed healthcare reform and elected officials that voted against it. The founding of the party, and a number of other issues.

Anna Lewis on THE PEREZ NOTES

I had the opportunity to interview Attorney Anna Lewis, who is exploring a run for the State Senate seat currently held by Eric Schneiderman. We discussed her vision for the district, and solutions to the problems that people face in the areas of education, housing and health.
